Cristiano Ronaldo unveiled by Juventus and insists he is ‘not yet old enough to play in China’

Portuguese superstar has completed his move from Real Madrid after nine stunning years in the Spanish capital and has put pen-to-paper on a four-year £500k-a-week deal

CRISTIANO RONALDO was unveiled by Juventus after agreeing a four-year, £500,000-a-week deal - then insisted he is not ready to 'move to China or Qatar' just yet.

The 33-year-old ended a nine-year stay with Real Madrid in what will probably be the most sensational transfer of the summer.

Cristiano Ronaldo opens up about switching Real Madrid for Juventus saying he’s not sad about the move and that it was his ONLY offer

And as he was presented to the media before holding up his new shirt for next season, CR7 insisted he has much more still to offer.

He said: "It wasn’t a very difficult decision to take.

"I prefer to think of me in the present – the present is very clear, I enjoy football, I am still rather young and I have always like challenges in my life.

"So from Sporting, to Manchester to Real, it was a dream, I didn’t really think I would win so many titles individually or at a club.

"I think this new challenge will be as good as the others.

"I’m not sad, I am here because it is a brand new challenge for my career, it’s a big club.

"Usually players of my age go to Qatar or China, but I am here and I can go on with my career, and I am grateful to Juventus for the opportunity.

Thousands of Juventus fans had earlier greeted Ronaldo in Turin this morning ahead of his medical and eagerly-awaited unveiling.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner turned up in a grey suit before donning a string vest and heading to the lab for a carefully-monitored run on the treadmill.

He has put pen to paper on a four-year £500,000-a-week contract, with sponsors Fiat agreeing to help out with his wages.

Ronaldo landed yesterday afternoon by private jet and the club wanted the maximum possible exposure the day after the World Cup final.

The 33-year-old leaves Real Madrid the club's top goalscorer after bagging a simply staggering 450 goals in 438 games.

He was also the first player to score 100 Champions League goals at the same club.

And Juventus will hope he can push them on to bigger things in Europe after losing two of the last four Champions League finals.

Ronaldo heads in the opposite direction to that of his former boss Zinedine Zidane, who exchanged Juve for Real back in 2001.

And he will hope to have the same impact on the club as the mesmeric French midfielder did in the late 1990s.

Old Lady fans mocked Inter Milan supporters as they waited to catch a glimpse of Ronaldo, with the Juve faithful chanting: "If you don't jump, you're an Inter fan."

The global megastar was then taken to the club's training base where he was introduced to his new team-mates.

One of the first to limber up and shake his hand was uncompromising centre-half Giorgio Chiellini.

One of the Juve fans' heroes, it was a smart move to be greeted by the defender first up.
