DIDIER DESCHAMPS inspired France's World Cup triumph with a simple message at half-time of the final: "Give it to Kylian".

Amazing footage has emerged from broadcaster TF1 of Deschamps' team talk in the bowels of the Luzhniki Stadium on Sunday.

Les Bleus led 2-1 courtesy of two controversial refereeing decisions and had been largely given the runaround by the indefatigable Croatians.

At the break their coach kept cool with clear and commanding analysis, pinpointing striker Mario Mandzukic as a threat that could be turned to France's advantage.

He then told his players to get the ball to their own key man - and you know what happened next.

Deschamps said: "Did you see? They're using their elbows, their bodies... The guy facing away, he's facing away!

"Facing away from goal, he's not going to hurt us. Don't bother getting in front of him, we're controlling him.

"What they are doing, except for the diagonal from time to time, they're looking for the Mandzukic straight away.

"Mandzukic heads it, chests it, or deviates it with his foot. Be careful around him.

"He can still win the ball with his head, just be careful around him. Not to be static, to be already on the move. Close him down. Think about it.

"Do not make it harder for yourself. They come, they're aggressive. You've all seen the energy they're giving.

"Play as simple as possible. When you have the ball, if someone is on you, there's another one coming. Give it. As soon as you can.

"Give it to Kylian. Antoine, come down a bit during counters. You're staying up next to the attacker. We need you to be an option."

Antoine Griezmann then chips in with: "Hey guys, loosen up. We still have some left, we can do better. Loosen up. Confidence, confidence."

With a rallying cry, Deschamps adds: "Forty five minutes! You know what's next! Keep your heads up! Loosen up!

"When you get the ball, boom! Give it forward!"

Paul Pogba, who gave his own inspirational team-talk before their win over Uruguay, calls out: "Be positive!"

Raphael Varane then takes centre stage and paces around the dressing room before passionately banging his hand on the table.

The centre-back says: "Don't get too worked up about positioning. Guys, it's in your head. Be positive, believe in it.

"We're gonna win, guys. We're gonna win this match! No need to get too worked up about it, come on!

"We're gonna win, guys. Forty five minutes, flat out, come on!"

Pogba's left-foot curler gave France a two-goal cushion before Mbappe fired in a brilliant low drive that all but sealed the win.

Hugo Lloris' howler gave Mandzukic a gift and Croatia a sniff, but it was Mbappe and Co partying back in their dressing room and then long into the night.
