HERTHA BERLIN have sparked a Premier League bidding war - by putting Germany World Cup star Marvin Plattenhardt up for sale.
The left-back, 26, has is wanted by Everton, Huddersfield and Bournemouth.
And Leicester, Watford and Fulham are also interested in the seven-cap international.
Plattenhardt started Germany's World Cup opener against Mexico, which they lost 1-0, but did not figure again as Joachim Low's side made a shock first-round exit.
However, the defender helped his country win the Confederations Cup last summer.
Bundesliga side Hertha have now declared their readiness to part with Plattenhardt, sticking a £12million asking price on his head.
Sporting director Michael Preetz told : "Marvin has stepped onto a bigger stage at the World Cup, and attracted new attention.
"If he wants a change of scene, and a deal suits all parties, then we will consider it."
Plattenhardt's agent Herbert Briem said: "Marvin will begin pre-season with Hertha, but the transfer market is only now starting up.
"If an exceptional offer comes in for him we have agreed to sit down and discuss it."

Hertha are already preparing for the left-back's departure by promoting his understudy Maximilian Mittelstadt.
Preetz added: "Maxi has made great progress. He will get to play more matches than last season."
Dead-ball specialist expert Plattenhardt is under contract with Hertha until 2023.
He joined the capital city club from Nuremberg in 2014.
His brother Luca and cousin Nico are also footballers, with FC Homburg and TV Echterdingen respectively.
