DEJAN LOVREN has jumped to the defence of team-mate Loris Karius after the keeper was criticised by a Liverpool fan page.
The German stopper has come under fire from supporters following a series of mistakes including two costly ones during the Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.
It appears the summer break hasn't erased Karius' demons and his performances came under further scrutiny in pre-season.
His mistake against Tranmere led to a goal and he escaped with another gaff against Borussia Dortmund.
Boss Jurgen Klopp has finally addressed Liverpool's goalkeeping issues with the world record £67million signing of Alisson.
Reported by the Mirror, a Reds supporter on an Instagram fan page said: "Thank god we've got Alisson.

"It's becoming a regular thing for Karius. I seriously believe that we should sell him because even as backup he's just full of mistakes.
"I don't care what anyone says but he is not worthy of wearing the Liverpool shirt."
But Lovren, who reached the World Cup finals with Croatia, hit back at the critics.
He replied: "You are full of s***. Shame on you how you treat our player! And also the name Liverpool fan page."
Karius is expected to play second fiddle to Alisson this season with Simon Mignolet looking likely to leave Anfield.
