JOSE MOURINHO went on a stunning rant about Manchester United's lack of transfer activity after watching his side be thrashed by Liverpool.
The Red Devils boss sent a clear message to the board and chief executive about his frustration in the transfer marker after their 4-1 drubbing in Michigan.
Mourinho said he wanted two new signings having provided a list or targets earlier this year but concedes he may not even get one.
Manchester United have signed Fred from Shakhtar and Diogo Dalot from Porto this summer as well as back up goalkeeper Lee Grant.
He said: "I think I am not going to have two (new signings).
"It is possible that I'm going to have one and that one, I gave at least to my club, five names a few months ago, and I wait to see if it is possible.
"We started the game with a lot of players who will not be in our squad on August 9.
"This is not my squad, not even half, not even 30 per cent of my squad."
Mourinho has cut a frustrated figure on United's pre-season tour over the lack of players available and the small crowds.
He said: "The atmosphere was good, but if I was them I wouldn't come.
"I wouldn't spend my money to watch these teams.
"I watched Chelsea v Inter, the people there decided the beach was better - stadium was empty.
"These people here show how much they love their clubs.
"The American fans deserve more. They deserve a good United, a good Liverpool, a good Real Madrid.
"I feel sorry for them, the way they try to promote soccer in this country."
And even the officials didn't escape Mourinho's wrath.
The Manchester United boss said: "The referees were called by the baseball federation, they thought it was a baseball game and they had to deal with a soccer game."
