The Egyptian FA now want France World Cup winner Henry to replace Argentine Hector Cuper, who was sacked after the Pharaohs lost all three games at the World Cup finals.

And agent Nader El-Sayed claimed Henry is considering their offer after the Frenchman’s advisor met EFA board member Hazem Emam.

Ex-goalkeeper El-Sayed revealed: “We had a meeting with Thierry Henry’s agent in London, and Hazem Emam was present.

“Henry is waiting [to hear about] the EFA’s project for the team before deciding on the offer.

Henry helped guide Belgium to a bronze medal at the World Cup, but is now looking to move on from being an assistant coach

“[That is] apart from the economic aspect.”

Henry, 40, is currently the Belgian national team’s assistant coach.

The Red Devils finished third at the World Cup.

But the Egypt job would offer the 123-cap former striker the chance to coach Liverpool idol Mo Salah.
