Lerma, who played for Colombia against England at the World Cup, will add steel to the Cherries’ midfield.
The deal is still is subject to personal terms being agreed and a work permit being granted.
But should it go through he will join Welsh whizkid David Brooks and full-back Diego Rico in joining the South-Coast club this summer.
