Celtic star Dedryck Boyata wanted by Fulham as Premier League side table £9m bid for Belgium World Cup defender
Boyata has 12 months left on his Hoops contract and Brendan Rodgers still hopes he will sign an extension but a move to England could prove tempting
FULHAM have reportedly tabled a £9million offer for Celtic star Dedryck Boyata.
SunSport first revealed the London club's interest in the Belgium World Cup star on July 5.
And now The Times claim that Craven Cottage boss Slavisa Jovanovic has slapped in a big money bid for the centre-half.
Boyata has 12 months left on his Hoops contract and Brendan Rodgers still hopes he will sign an extension.
But the defender's impressive displays in Russia has led to serious interest across Europe.
And the pull of proving himself in the English Premier League after a disappointing spell at Manchester City could prove tempting for the 27-year-old.
Boyata is back in Glasgow after helping Belgium reach the semi-finals of the World Cup, losing out to winners France.
Lazio scouted Boyata as he played in all three groups stage games in Russia, while Turkish and French clubs have also been keeping tabs.
Celtic don’t want to sell the defender – but could be tempted to cash in if he doesn’t agree to a new deal.
Boyata has been in Scotland since 2015, after leaving Man City for good following loan spells at Bolton and FC Twente.
