FULHAM snatched left-back Joe Bryan from under the noses of Steve Bruce's Aston Villa in an astonishing coup.
Bryan was waiting on the results of his medical at Villa when the Premier League new boys rang with a bigger and better offer for him.
The Bristol City defender headed to London to finalise his move to the big time after Fulham agreed to pay £6million for him and offer superior personal terms.
Villa had previously agreed a deal worth £4m plus £2m in extras and The Robins were prepared to sell before the late drama.
Fulham want Bryan for a problem position and the chance to play in the top flight made it a no-brainer.
However, it is a massive loss for Bruce after teeing up the transfer.
