Josh Windass set to quit Rangers and join Championship side Wigan in £2m switch
JOSH WINDASS looks to be on his way to Wigan in a £2million deal after they made a last-gasp swoop to nab him from under the noses of Ipswich.
The Gers forward has been courted by the Tractor Boys all summer and had been on his way to Portman Road this afternoon to finalise a move.
But SunSport Online understands the attacker, 23, is now heading instead to the DW Stadium to undergo a medical and thrash out personal terms after Wigan's dramatic intervention.
It's expected a deal will be confirmed before tonight's 5pm English transfer deadline.
Meanwhile skipper James Tavernier is set to STAY at Ibrox.
Last night Gers chiefs rejected a £1.8m bid from West Brom for the right-back.
Talks have been ongoing today but with tonight's crucial Europa League clash against Maribor on the horizon, Rangers have told the Baggies he's not for sale.
Elsewhere Wes Foderingham could also leave before the window slams shut.

The back-up goalkeeper has been told he can depart.
Swansea City also hope to land full-back Declan John on a permanent deal.
