JOSE MOURINHO is understood to be becoming angry at the way Mino Raiolo is damaging his work at Manchester United.
Raiolo is the super agent who helped bring Paul Pogba, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Romelu Lukaku to Old Trafford earlier in Mourinho's reign at the club.
But the United manager, and his bosses in the boardroom, are said to be worried about the way the agent is hawking Pogba around Europe's biggest clubs trying to agitate for a transfer.
The say there is a belief within the corridors of power at United that Raiola's antics are causing problems within the squad - with Barcelona and Juventus both showing an interest in the club's star player.
The transfer window in England shut yesterday, meaning United have no chance of signing any more players until January.
And that has caused a concern that Raiola will still be busy behind the scenes trying to orchestrate a deal for Pogba while the window remains open across the rest of Europe until the end of the month.
For their part, United are insistent they will not entertain any bids for Pogba, who returned to training at the start of the week having taken a post-World Cup holiday.
But the story suggests Mourinho and the rest of the staff at Old Trafford now believe Raiola is not acting in the best interests of his client by trying to stir up a bidding war for his services.
The belief is that Pogba, 25, should be given the freedom to build on his success at Russia 2018 to flourish as the main man in the United side this season.
The Frenchman has so far only shown glimpses of his undoubted quality since rejoining United in a then world record £89million move two years ago.

Rumours of a fractious relationship with Mourinho have followed Pogba around, and Raiola has attempted to use those by contacting Barca and Juve with the suggestion a move could be possible.
Mourinho spent much of last season trying to mould Pogba's play into a more disciplined way, keen for him to fit in with his more tactical approach.
And he believes the way the midfielder did just that under Didier Deschamps at the World Cup with France shows the player he can curtail his natural instincts and still be a key figure in the side.
Pogba could come straight into the United side for tonight's Premier League opener against Leicester with Mourinho facing an injury crisis with six players unavailable.
