BORUSSIA DORTMUND youngster Dario Scuderi has made a triumphant comeback TWO YEARS after suffering the "worst injury you could imagine".
In September 2016, while competing in the Uefa Youth League, Scuderi suffered a sickening snap of the leg.
Since then, the Italian right-back, 20, has undergone nine surgeries and missed over 700 days of action as he recovers.
However, despite the long time on the sidelines, Scuderi made it through a gruelling pre-season and has now turned out for Dortmund's reserves against SV Luner.
Scuderi took to Instagram to reveal the news, writing: "Comeback. After a very long and hard time, where the doctors had already written me off.
"Thanks to my family and my friends and the BVB, without you I would not be back."
Following the horror injury two years ago, Scuderi's doctor revealed it was the "worst" he'd ever seen.
The surgeon said: "It [was] the worst injury you could possibly imagine.
"Pretty much everything tore: the ligaments, all the muscle and tendons."
During Scuderi's long lay-off, Dortmund paid for the youngster to study sports management - just in case the injury turned out to be career-ending.
