CHELSEA icon John Terry has been linked with a move to Sporting CP in the Portuguese media.
Former England captain JT, 37, is a free agent after leaving Aston Villa at the end of last season.
Terry has been on holiday in the Algarve this week with wife Toni and his two kids.
According to Portuguese newspaper A Bola, Terry has held talks with Madeira Rodrigues - who is in the running to become Sporting's new President.
Elections are to be held on September 8.
Rodrigues and Terry are said to have met on Wednesday, with Terry told his role would not just be as a player but also as an ambassador.
The presidential candidate wants to raise Sporting's profile and links to the Premier League.
Former Chelsea boss Claudio Ranier has been linked with taking over at the Estadio Jose Alvalade.

Terry last month confirmed that he had not yet retired, despite spending much of the summer on holiday.
He wrote on Instagram: "Just to confirm I haven’t retired.
"I’m currently enjoying my holidays with my family and weighing up ALL my options."
Terry appeared on Egpytian TV as a pundit on Tuesday night, covering the Egpytian league.
