FORMER Tottenham star Kevin-Prince Boateng wants to hit the right notes on and off the pitch after starting a second career as a rapper.
The flamboyant 31-year-old signed to Italian club Sassuolo last month but has both gigging and goals on his mind.
That’s because the Ghana international has decided to also become a hip-hop artist, picking the stage name PRIN$$ to go by.
Boateng, who also played for Portsmouth before moving to AC Milan, has released his first single called ‘King’.
With a nod to his own lifestyle, the chorus features the lines: “I live my life like a king/living with no pressure/hustle like I don’t know better.”
The video also shows him showing off his collection of bling, standing rapping on a pool table and throwing himself into a swimming pool fully clothed.
Boateng penned a two-year deal with Serie A minows Sassuolo this summer – his ninth career club after moving from Eintrach Frankfurt.
But music clearly beats loudly in the Boateng football family with younger half-brother and Germany international Jerome rapping under the ‘JB’ stage name.
Brother and retired footballer George is also a rapper, best known for his 2015 album Gewachsen auf Beton under the name BTNG.
In the past Boateng has cited Michael Jackson as his singing and dancing idol and even once did the famous Moon Walk move in front of a packed San Siro.
He also sang for Al Jazeera Sports Channel to celebrate their eighth birthday with backing vocals from Brazilian superstars Robinho and Pato.
Boateng is not the first Serie A star to move into music with former Italy international and Southampton flop Dani Osvaldo calling time on his football career to focus on becoming a rock musician.
