Claudio Bravo suffers ruptured Achilles injury and set for lengthy spell on sidelines for Manchester City
Manchester City confirmed the news on Monday night and have sent Bravo to Barcelona for further tests
CLAUDIO BRAVO has suffered a ruptured Achilles injury that is set to sideline the Manchester City goalkeeper for a lengthy spell.
Chile's shot-stopper, second choice at City after Ederson, underwent scans on Monday afternoon after suffering the injury in training.
Bravo, 35, has been sent out to Barcelona for further tests on Thursday with fears he could be out for the season.
A statement on City's Twitter account said: "[Bravo] underwent scans this afternoon which have confirmed a rupture in the tendon of his left foot."
Pep Guardiola promoted 20-year-old Daniel Grimshaw to the first-team as the third-choice option between the posts.
And the youngster may be in the limelight even sooner than anticipated.
