The ex-United and Liverpool defenders were making their season predictions on Monday Night Football.

And they believe the title is heading back to the Etihad with Liverpool taking second spot.

Despite Chelsea's strong start to the season, Carragher and Neville both think Maurizio Sarri's side will miss out on Champions League football yet again.

They don't have high hopes for Arsenal manager Unai Emery with the Gunners also set to struggle.

Gary Neville wears Liverpool shirt after losing bet with Jamie Carragher - but there's a twist...

Both believe Everton have the best chance of challenging for the top six with David Silva picking up the Player of the Year award.

However they were divided on the top scorer with Neville backing City's hat-trick hero at the weekend Sergio Aguero and Carragher opting for Harry Kane.

Carragher would also back Fulham wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon to be the best young talent while Neville chose Ben Foden.

Finally the United legend picked Liverpool's new keeper Alisson as the one to watch with Carragher also going for team-mate Naby Keita.
