Tottenham prepared to let Danny Rose leave this month with PSG circling – but Toby Alderweireld is going nowhere
The Premier League transfer window is closed but the England left-back could still join a European side
TOTTENHAM are happy to flog Danny Rose this month but Toby Alderweireld is going nowhere, according to reports.
The England left-back got back in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad for the win over Fulham on Saturday but the claim a Brexit is still on the cards with PSG interested.
The defender rejected the chance to join Schalke on loan and the early end to the Premier League transfer window means his options are limited.
Rose, 28, was an unused sub for the 3-1 Wembley win but Alderweireld got a surprise start in a back-three.
The Belgian centre-back looked destined for the door after rejecting a contract extension and entering the last year of his contract.
But, after Manchester United failed to firm up their interest, the 29-year-old was stuck in north London.

Instead of sulking, the former Southampton man put on a solid display and he could still have a future at the new White Hart Lane.
But Poch pulled no punches on August 16 when he revealed some players would still be moved on, he said: "We are going to see if some players believe that they can achieve their goals in another club.
"Maybe they are going to move. Different individual things can happen in the next few weeks.
"If some player is not happy because he needs to play or believes he can play more at another team, or needs to change the environment, or needs a new challenge or motivation, I told them that I am open to find the solution.
"It is so clear the rules. It is so clear my message.
"I promise I am going to fix it if someone is not happy to be here for the next five months until the transfer window opens again."
