PATRICK VIEIRA wants PSG goalkeeper Kevin Trapp on loan - as his bids to revive his Nice team's fortunes after a turbulent start to the new campaign - according to reports.
The ex-Arsenal midfielder turned manager, has endured a tough start to life in France - picking up just one point from a possible nine in Ligue 1.
His side were thumped 4-0 at home by Dijon last time out, with the 42-year-old labelling the defeat 'catastrophic'.
That was their second home defeat in a row - losing to Reims on the opening weekend of the season.
They followed that up with a 1-1 draw at Caen, before the disastrous result last time out.
And are now emerging that Vieira has turned his attentions to Trapp, who is third choice at the Parc des Princes.
Trapp, 28, made just four appearances in Ligue 1 last season.
And while he is keen to fight for a long-term future at PSG, it's unlikely he will get much, if any, playing time this season - with Gianluigi Buffon and Alphonse Areola ahead of him in the pecking order
Therefore, Nice could provide the German stopper, whose current deal expires in 2020, with valuable game time and a chance to kick-start his promising career.
Trapp was part of Germany's 23-man squad at the World Cup this summer - but didn't feature as the defending champions made a shock exit in the group stages.
