JAMIE VARDY has ended his international career, as he looks to spend more time with his wife Rebekah and children.

The Leicester City striker has enjoyed a meteoric rise in English football, beginning his career in the eighth tier, before winning the Premier League with the Foxes in 2016.

THE Leicester City striker is 31 years old.

He was born on January 11, 1987.

He was originally on the books at Sheffield Wednesday before being released at 15.

Vardy only got his first taste of league football with the Foxes six years ago, having previously played for Fleetwood Town, Halifax Town and Stocksbridge Park Steels.

Who is Jamie Vardy's wife, Rebekah?

VARDY has chosen to effectively end his international career to spend more time with his wife Rebekah and his children.

The Leicester star met the 36-year-old in 2014, while she was a nightclub promoter, marrying her two years later.

She has since had two children with Vardy - Sofia and Ella - and has also appeared on 2017's edition of I'm A Celebrity and Loose Women.

The striker has a child from a past relationship, and is stepfather to Rebekah's other two offspring.
