Abraham was left out of the Blues' opening three games in the Premier League, and he has now decided to leave Stamford Bridge for a third loan spell away.

The England youth international has dipped down into the Championship for the second time in his career following a successful campaign at Bristol City in which he banged in 26 goals.

He spent last campaign at Swansea in the top-flight - netting eight times in all competitions - but his exploits failed to impress new boss Sarri.

And after linking up with Steve Bruce's men, Abraham is already eyeing up promotion success with his new club.

At this stage of my career, I need games and this is a great place for me to come and showcase my talent. I can’t wait to get started."

Abraham has featured just three times for Chelsea since making his debut in May 2016 - with his most recent outing coming in the 2-0 defeat against Manchester City in the Community Shield.
