PATRICK CUTRONE netted a dramatic 95th minute winner for AC Milan as Gennaro Gattuso's men registered their first win of the season after beating Roma 2-1.
It was an enthralling encounter at the San Siro where the referee chalked off two goals with the help of VAR.
Ivory Coast midfielder Franck Kessie opened the scoring in the 40th minute, before Federico Fazio equalised for the visitors after the break.
Gonzalo Higuain then thought he had netted his first goal for Milan after dispatching his effort in the 61st minute.
But his goal was chalked off for offside, after replays showed he had strayed fractionally beyond the last defender as he raced clear on goal.
While Roma also had a winner correctly overturned after Steven N'Zonzi thought he had won it for Eusebio Di Francesco's side in the 79th minute.
But once again, the referee - with the help of VAR - cancelled off the strike, after it was shown that the French World Cup winner handled the ball before dispatching beyond Gianluigi Donnarumma.
And just when it looked as if both sides would take a share of the spoils, Cutrone latched onto a Higuain pass to fire past Robin Olsen.
The ex-Juventus striker expertly found the youngster in the centre of the box, who guided his effort into the bottom right corner to spark wild scenes from the home fans.
Roma could have went to the top of the Serie A table with a point, while Milan picked up their first victory of the campaign after suffering a last-gasp defeat against Napoli last time out.
