LIVERPOOL stopper Alisson made an horrendous blunder at the King Power Stadium as Rachid Ghezzal pulled a goal back for Leicester.

The Brazil No1, 25, looked to be too clever with his footwork in his own area, before losing the ball and giving up an open goal.

Alisson was given an awkward back-pass but should have put his boot through the ball early rather than dwell on it.

Earlier this week, the Liverpool No1 revealed he will not be afraid to trust his footwork and take risks on the ball.

Alisson said: “I take risks. It is calculated. Fans with heart problems have to be careful.

“But on the pitch I do not try to make of fun of a rival. It’s not to show that I can do this or that, but to help the team. It is to achieve targets.

“I make a dribble or a simple pass, knowing if I lose the ball near the area the opponent can score.

“I am aware of what I do on the pitch, but I always do it to help the team. That’s why occasionally I also boot the ball into the stands.”

This was certainly one occasion Alisson should have hoofed the ball to touch - with Leicester getting a goal back to make it 2-1 to the Reds and set up a nervy finale.

It's exactly what Liverpool fans wouldn't have wanted to see, after just getting over Loris Karius' blunder-fill spell at the club.

And speaking on Sky Sports, Jamie Redknapp reckons Alisson is one of a few Liverpool stars in for a tough time from boss Jurgen Klopp.

The ex-Reds midfielder said: "There will be one or two he will give a volley at, namely Alisson, Van Dijk. They should have done better there.

"I don’t want my keeper doing Cruyff turns, and it’s the worst Cruyff turn I’ve ever seen.

"There’s a reason why he wears a yellow jersey and plays in goal, he’s not good with his feet.

"The source of the problem was Virgil van Dijk, he should have cleared the ball. But from the goalkeeper’s point of view, it's not good enough."
