Antonio Rudiger leaves stud marks on Benjamin Pavard’s neck during France clash with Germany
Chelsea star's boot caught the neck of the Stuttgart defender early in the Nations League clash between the world champions and Joachim Low's side
BENJAMIN PAVARD was left with shocking stud marks across his neck after a clash with Antonio Rudiger.
Arsenal and Liverpool target Pavard was caught by the boot of Rudiger in the Nations League match between Germany and France.
The defender was left clutching his face after making a sliding tackle on Chelsea ace Rudiger.
The Germany star made a tame attempt to lift his foot over the skidding body of his rival, and his boot came down heavily on Pavard.
When the Stuttgart ace got to his feet the marks from the challenge were clearly visible.
No action was taken against Rudiger following the incident, which came just three minutes into the match at the Allianz Arena in Munich which ended goalless.
The game was the first both sides have played since Russia 2018 - which saw France crowned world champions and Germany return home in disgrace.
But some who were watching believed Rudiger was lucky to escape punishment, claiming he deliberately stamped on his opponent.
