Liverpool news: Real Madrid star Sergio Ramos insists ‘my conscience is clear’ over challenge on Mo Salah in Champions League Final
Defender will win his 175th international cap for La Roja against the Three Lions
SERGIO RAMOS insists his conscience is clear over the foul on Mo Salah that forced the Liverpool star off in the Champions League final.
Real Madrid’s captain will play in England for the first time tonight since the controversial incident in May when he leads out Spain at Wembley.
The 32-year-old says he never intended to hurt Salah, who dislocated a shoulder in the clash and left the field in tears.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp accused Ramos of flooring Salah “like a wrestler” after Madrid’s 3-1 victory.
The defender was asked about what sort of crowd reaction he would get in the upcoming Nations League game against the Three Lions, and he said: “I’m not really concerned about that.
“I never wanted to hurt an opponent on the pitch, of course, so my conscience is really clear about what I did that night. I’m not going to be affected by that at all.
“I know the English fans will treat players as they deserve and I’m not worried in the slightest.”
World Cup and two-time European Championship winner Ramos will win his 175th international cap against England, moving him to within 10 of all-time record holder Iker Casillas.

Ramos added: “In the Fifa ranking we have gone down a few positions.
