Switzerland’s 5ft 7ins Xherdan Shaqiri paired with tallest mascot before England clash… and fans love it
Liverpool attacker could barely see over the top of the mascot's head during the line-ups at the King Power
XHERDAN SHAQIRI faced a tall order looking good for Switzerland's clash against England last night.
That's because the 5ft 7ins Liverpool attacker was cruelly paired with the tallest mascot.
Shaqiri could barely see over the head of the young lad in front of him as the teams lined-up at the King Power in Leicester.
And he could only just about be seen during the anthems, with the other mascot next to him coming close to him in terms of size too.
Viewers were quick to notice the quirk - possibly done on purpose by a mischievous member of staff.
One wrote: "Poor Shaqiri, put next to the tall mascot."

A fellow viewer posted: "Shaqiri's mascot is taller than him."
One tweeted: "F***ing mascots are almost taller than Shaqiri."
Another comment read: "Shaqiri looks like the mascot."
England had the last laugh, too, with Marcus Rashford's strike proving the difference in the 1-0 friendly win.
It was in the stands that the best part of action all night took place, though.
Three Lions legend Paul Gascoigne was shown handing out pies to fans.
