Celtic’s Craig Gordon paid Alloa’s Greig Spence’s wages when he couldn’t work for three months after keeper’s horror challenge
The 26-year-old striker revealed star's generosity after being clattered by Scotland international Gordon in a League Cup tie at Parkhead in 2016. Spence was a part-time footballer at the time, also working as a plumber.

Spence, 26, wrote on Twitter: “I was off work for three months after this challenge but Craig Gordon covered my wages I lost so I forgive him.”
He also told a fan: "I was off work for a month after the game with concussion."
He failed to make a first-team appearance for Celts despite his fine form in the youth ranks.
In 2014, the forward scored twice as Alloa stunned Ally McCoist’s to win 3-2 in the semi-final of the Petrofac Training Cup.
