Real Sociedad 1 Barcelona 2: Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele lead fightback for Spanish champions
Ernesto Valverde's men found themselves 1-0 down at half-time but produced great display in second 45 to earn all three points
SPANISH champions Barcelona avoided a major slip-up with a comeback win over Real Sociedad on Saturday afternoon.
Goals from Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele ensured Ernesto Valverde's men maintained their perfect start to the season.
But proceedings got off to a terrible start for the La Liga giants when Aritz Elustondo scored for the hosts after just 12 minutes.
Despite fielding an incredibly strong team boasting the likes of Lionel Messi and Ivan Rakitic, Barca could not find a response to going behind.
They dominated possession but were barely able to conjure anything in front of goal.
The poor display forced Valverde into making a sub at half-time, with Philippe Coutinho replacing right-back Nelson Semedo.
And Rafinha also found himself hooked soon after as pivot Sergio Busquets made his way onto the field.
It proved to be an inspired move, with striker Suarez finally getting some open space before firing in an equaliser just minutes later.
But Barca continued to be rampant and soon went ahead through Dembele after the restart.
Sociedad tried their hardest to muster a comeback, but with battle-hardened warrior Arturo Vidal called off the bench, Barca were able to hold on to their lead and consolidate their position at the top of the table.
