MEMPHIS DEPAY has taken another swipe at Manchester City after his Lyon side shocked Pep Guardiola's men in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

The ex-United man played the full 90 minutes as the Ligue 1 side ran out 2-1 winners at the Etihad.

Depay's £24million move to Old Trafford was underwhelming and came to end after 19 disappointing months.

But despite that he remains fond of the Red Devils, and following his side's stunning victory on the road he couldn't resist another dig at City.

On his Instagram story a jubilant Depay he posted the message "Manchester is still red" - cheekily adding '#lol' to the end of the sentence.

The Dutch forward, 24, had already stirred the pot ahead of the clash.

Lyon star Memphis Depay has cheeky swipe at Manchester City and says the city is ‘still red’ ahead of Champions League clash

He told reporters in the pre-match press conference that: "For sure, the city is still red and we will try to get a good result against the Blues."

And they did just that, with Maxwel Cornet and Nabil Fekir giving Lyon a two-goal lead at the break.

City responded through Bernando Silva but that wasn't enough to prevent Guardiola's men slipping to a shock home defeat.

And cue for the second time in as many days Depay took pleasure in the opportunity to troll City.
