RONALDO has vowed to use Real Valladolid's facilities to get fit after buying a majority share in the La Liga club earlier this month.
Brazil legend Ronaldo, known for his rotund appearance since retiring in 2011, acquired a 51 per cent stake in Valladolid.
The two-time World Cup winner plans to get involved in training sessions after shedding a few pounds.
Ronaldo : "I have not come to play and I am not in shape for that.
"I will start training and getting fit so I can train with the boys and contribute a bit in the technical area, always in agreement with the coach."
Having played for some of the wealthiest clubs in European football, Ronaldo is used to state-of-the-art facilities.

From Barcelona to Real Madrid and Inter Milan to AC Milan, the Brazilian was used to the very best.
But that's not the case at Valladolid, in whom Ronaldo invested £27million.
The 42-year-old said: "Everything is possible, we do not have the best facilities in the world, but it is about getting the best facilities for our players."
Valladolid are second-bottom in the La Liga table after four games of the new season.
The newly-promoted team picked up points against Girona and Getafe in goalless draws but are yet to score this season.
