Manchester United vs Valencia kick-off delayed as Jose Mourinho’s team bus arrives late
Jose Mourinho has had a less-than-ideal build-up for the crunch Champions League game tonight
MANCHESTER UNITED'S Champions League kick-off against Valencia has been delayed after they arrived at Old Trafford just 43 minutes before the match.
The Red Devils' coach was unbelievably late as it pulled up at the Theatre of Dreams on Tuesday night.
United immediately made a request to delay kick-off in order to avoid damaging their pre-game preparations.
But they were granted just five extra minutes in what could be a huge blow to Jose Mourinho's prospects of winning the match.
The Special One is under huge pressure to grab all three points following a torrid time domestically.
Since the 3-0 win over Young Boys, United have drawn once and lost twice.
Wolves arrived at Old Trafford to fight for a 1-1 draw, resulting in a huge relationship breakdown between Mourinho and record signing Paul Pogba.
Frank Lampard, who was one of Jose's stars at Chelsea, then turned up to beat United with Derby on penalties in the Carabao Cup.
And things went from bad to worse when the Red Devils were taught a lesson by West Ham at the London Stadium on Saturday.
Defeat to Valencia could spell the beginning of the end for Mourinho, and he may well look back at the traffic in Stretford as the turning point.
