FC Salzburg 3 Celtic 1: Hoops collapse in second half with James Forrest seeing red after Edouard fired visitors ahead

Brendan Rodgers' side will be concerned at their poor form after FC Salzburg side came from behind to win in Austria

CELTIC suffered a second half collapse as James Forrest was also shown a straight red card.

The Hoops went ahead after just two minutes but their defence was finally breached ten minutes into the interval before conceding a quick flurry of goals.

The home side, who had won nine out of nine in their domestic league, were stunned instantly by Celtic's lightning quick start.

A long ball down the left was chased down by Edouard who cut inside and produced a tidy finish in the bottom corner.

It was the perfect start for Brendan Rodgers' side who have been far from their best this season in the league.

The rest of the first-half consisted of Celtic's back four camped on their own box as the home side desperately looked to draw level.

Ten minutes into the second and the Hoops' resolute defending had been breached.

A cross from the right was played back across goal by Hannes Wolf and into the path of Munas Dabbur whose scruffy shot went under the arms of Craig Gordon.

Six minutes later and Celtic were behind.

The defence failed to deal with a simple cross from the left and it went through a heap of players before Takumi Minamino scrambled it home from just a yard out.

It went from bad to worse when Forrest was given his marching orders after bringing down Wolf in the box.

Dabbur stepped up and coolly slotted it down the middle to send Rodgers' side home without a point.
