Bournemouth prepare Chris Mepham bid as Eddie Howe eyes a second raid for Brentford ace in January
Bees snubbed a £10million offer for their Welsh international centre-back over the summer
EDDIE HOWE will go back for Brentford centre-back Chris Mepham in January.
Bournemouth boss Howe failed with a £10million summer bid for the Wales international, but is planning a new raid when the window opens.
Mepham, 20, is seen by the Cherries as a player who will fit in perfectly at the Vitality Stadium and easily make the step up from the Championship.
Brentford will demand a huge fee for Mepham as they look for promotion to the top flight, with the youngster a key player for boss Dean Smith.
Promising Mepham broke into the Bees' first-team last season and played 23 times in all competitions.
He has already racked up 10 appearances in 2018-19 and Brentford know he is central to their promotion bid.
