Neil Warnock tears into Harry Kane over Joe Ralls sending off in Tottenham vs Cardiff and claims he called the referee a 'twit’ not a 'tw*t’

Spurs and England striker Kane was so incensed that he ran 30 yards and grappled with Ralls.

Warnock believed this influenced ref Mike Dean and he launched a furious F-word tirade at Kane on the touchline, also calling him a “t**t”.

Then after the game, he accused Kane of trying to get Ralls dismissed.

But the Spurs man responded by saying: “He has kicked one of our players knee height and the ref said to me that the fourth official helped him out — so it is what it is.

“I guess managers are going to get angry. It’s part of the game. But at the end of the day, their player has looked at our player and he has kicked him higher than he ever should. So for me, it was a red card and the right decision.”

But Cardiff midfielder Harry Arter said: “I made a tackle quite similar earlier on in the season and it was a booking.

“I felt that Mike was going for his yellow card initially and I don’t know whether it was the influx of all those Tottenham players that made him change his mind. But something clearly made him change and he went for the red card.

“I don’t know what went through the referee’s mind but I know he went for the yellow card initially. Then they all came flying in and then it was a red card. So, whether it was the fourth official or the linesman, I’m not sure.

“But I thought the ref was in the best position to make the call.

“Obviously, a yellow card was going through his head initially but, as I say, that’s football.

“The linesman and the fourth official might have been adamant. If that’s the case, then that’s the way it is.”
