MONACO have decided to sack Leonardo Jardim, with Thierry Henry their top choice to replace him.
Jardim was in charge of the French club for the past five seasons and led them to their first Ligue 1 title in 17 years in 2017.
After finishing runners-up to champions Paris Saint-Germain last season, Monaco yet again saw a host of key players sold and are now languishing in the bottom three with just one league win in nine games.
And SunSport has been told club president Dmitry Rybolovlev has seen enough and will pull the trigger on the Venezuelan coach with Henry already lined up to take over at the Stade Louis II.
Henry, 41, has been working as an assistant coach to Belgium boss Roberto Martinez for the past few years and has made no secret of his ambition to become a manager in his own right.
The former Arsenal striker was linked with the vacancy at Bordeaux following the dismissal of Gus Poyet.
