Real Madrid star Karim Benzema slams claims he was involved in ex-agent’s ‘attempted kidnapping’

French forward Benzema's ex agent allegedly filed a lawsuit for attempted kidnapping and sequestration

KARIM BENZEMA has slammed allegations that he was involved in the attempted kidnapping of his former agent.

According to Mediapart, the striker's ex-representative Leo D'Souza filed a lawsuit on October 8 claiming he was the victim of an attempted abduction.

, a dispute between the pair developed over £44,000 which was seized by customs at Marrakech airport in Morocco.

The unconfirmed report adds that D'Souza is claiming an attempted abduction took place outside a shisha bar on October 7.

Benzema's ex-agent, 33, says a black van pulled up beside him and a childhood friend of Benzema's ordered him to get in.

He claims to have been punched when he refused to get in the vehicle before people from the bar get involved.

The story claims that an investigation has been opened into D'Souza's allegations.

Mediapart says it quickly discovered that Benzema was not at the scene of the attempted kidnapping.

However, it says the two men involved left the bar and went to a hotel where the French striker - who denies the attempted abduction took place - was staying.
