Murray’s feat was all the more impressive given he had been to hospital last weekend after being knocked unconscious in a clash of heads at Newcastle.

But he passed all the medical checks to start here and shoot Albion up the table.

It was the Seagulls’ third 1-0 win in a row, following the same scorelines against West Ham and Toon either side of the international break.
