CESC FABREGAS would be open to a stunning return to Arsenal with his contract at Chelsea expiring at the end of the season.
Spanish midfielder Fabregas began his professional career with the Gunners having been signed from Barcelona.
But the master midfielder returned to the Camp Nou in 2011 before heading to Stamford Bridge three years later.
One more return might be on the cards for Fabregas though as his contract at Chelsea ticks down.
He told : "Of course Arsenal will always be in my heart and I will never forget them so why not return. You never know."
The 31-year-old recalled his first game in the Gunners jersey in 2003.
Fabregas said: "It was a big surprise to play that day. My parents knew and those that Arsenal invited to the game but I knew nothing until an hour and half beforehand."
The World Cup winner revealed that his most difficult opponent was actually the Arsenal legend he replaced.
He said: "Aged 18 I had to face Patrick Vieira in an Arsenal vs Juventus game.
"Wenger had sold him to give more of a chance for me and the truth is that it was tough but I had a great game with a goal and an assist for [Thierry] Henry. We won 2-0 at Highbury."
