THE Wembley pitch looks to be in absolute tatters just hours before Tottenham's game with Manchester City.

There had been fears playing the Premier League clash just 24 hours after yesterday's NFL game was a bad idea.

But even before the Jacksonville Jaguars took on the Philadephia Eagles, the surface looked in absolute ruin.

Ground staff have been attending to the turf all day but just two hours before kick-off the pitch is patchy and waterlogged.

Wembley officials have been watering the field of play today but it looks a far cry from it's usual gloriously green self.

Earlier today, staff could be seen raking and mowing the turf in a bid to have it ready for action.

Even before this weekend's American Football game, the likes of Pep Guardiola and Kevin De Bruyne had stated their concerns.

And they appear to be well-founded with the pitch in absolute ruins moments before the massive clash is slated to play.

Two hours before kick-off, Man City's official Twitter shared a picture of the turf... and supporters didn't hold back.
