'i have a strong bond'

Chelsea legend Frank Lampard will NOT celebrate if his Derby side stun Blues in Carabao Cup

Blues' all-time great danced when he toppled Jose Mourinho's Man Utd in the last round but there won't be a last-16 repeat

FRANK LAMPARD will NOT celebrate if Derby pull off a big shock at Stamford Bridge — because he still loves Chelsea.

The Rams manager danced on the pitch after beating his former boss Jose Mourinho at Manchester United to clinch a Carabao Cup last-16 spot.

But Blues legend Lamps said: “I love Chelsea as a club. I had a strong bond and I have a strong bond with the fans and that will never go.”

Lampard, who netted a club record 211 goals, added: “It’ll be very easy to show restraint because I respect the club.

“Professionally, I’ll be delighted if my players can get anything.

“When I scored against them I wouldn’t celebrate, I wouldn’t have done in a million years, and as a manager I’ll be respectful, because I appreciate what the club did for me.

“Going back to Chelsea is a big deal for me.”

Lampard, 40, regrets he could not end his playing days at Stamford Bridge after 13 years at the club.

And he refused to hail his strike against them for Manchester City in 2014.

He admitted: “It’ll be different to be the manager.

“There were different emotions that day because I was doing my job for City but everybody knew I was a Chelsea man.

“If I’d had my way, I would have stayed at Chelsea until the end of my career, but it didn’t work out that way.
