Arsenal star Matteo Guendouzi WILL miss Liverpool match following red card against Blackpool in Carabao Cup
ARSENAL star Matteo Guendouzi will miss this weekend's clash against Liverpool after being sent off against Blackpool in the Carabao Cup.
The French midfielder was handed two yellow cards in the League Cup clash, which the Gunners won 2-1.
He will now be suspended for the key Premier League match at the Emirates on Saturday evening.
A rule change at the start of the season meant yellow cards obtained in cup competitions would not carry over into the Premier League.
But this does not apply to red cards and Arsenal had confirmation by the EFL that the 19-year-old will be banned after the match.
Goals from Stephan Lichtsteiner and Emile Smith Rowe secured victory for the Gunners despite the dismissal.

Despite the sending off, Guendouzi received a vote of confidence from Unai Emery after the game.
The Arsenal boss said: "He’s playing well. He’s playing with a spirit. Competitive. The action is… it’s an action, he plays that action as a normal moment in the game.
"He is pushing behind the player. He is playing with the spirit I want today and every match.
"We have spoken. It is very important to control but I don’t think he lost control. The red card is one circumstance."
