Man City wonderkid Daniel Arzani out for nine months after loan club Celtic confirm cruciate injury
Youngster lasted just 22 minutes of the 5-0 hammering over Dundee before being stretchered off
MANCHESTER CITY starlet Daniel Arzani is expected to be out for nine months with a cruciate knee injury.
Arzani, 19, is on loan at Celtic and came on after 57 minutes to make his debut for the Scottish side in Wednesday's 5-0 hammering of Dundee.
But he lasted just 22 minutes before going down with a serious-looking knee injury and was stretchered off.
And Celtic are also without Eboue Kouassi for an extended period after the midfielder picked up an injury in Sunday's 3-0 win over Hearts.
Already limping, Kouassi had his privates grabbed by Hearts striker Steven MacLean - similar to the Vinnie Jones and Paul Gascoigne incident - and could not carry on.
Brendan Rodgers said: "Unfortunately, it looks like cruciate injuries for both Daniel Arzani and Eboue Kouassi.

"It's disappointing for them because they've been working hard to get into the team."
Arzani is widely considered as one of the hottest young talents coming through and excelled for Australia at this summer's World Cup.
It goes without saying this is a cruel blow and could have lasting repercussions on his development.
The Aussie was previously at Melbourne City before joining sister club Manchester City in August but immediately headed out to Celtic for two years.
Earlier in the week, Arzani took to Instagram to post an image of his knee in a brace.
He captioned the photo: "Will I make it?" with a 'Yes/No' option.
The wonderkid added: "I’m sorry I can’t get around to replying to everyone.
"Thank you all for the well wishes. Will keep you posted."
