CARL JENKINSON is starting for Arsenal tonight against Sporting in the Europa League — and fans can't believe it.
Many expected the the 26-year-old to be on his way out of the club this summer, but he has stuck around the fringes.
Tonight Jenkinson, who spent time on loan at Birmingham last season, gets a chance to impress boss Unai Emery.
But many Gunners fans on social media were shocked that the usual left-back was given a rare start after recovering from a two-month ankle injury.
James Clements shared a Gif of an open-mouthed Joey from hit TV show Friends — clearly emphasising his shock.
Mustafa Maraqa just seemed mad that he was selected, writing: "What tf is Jenkinson doing on the starting line-up?"
Ndumiso Khwela wrote that he is "still living the dream".
And Chinonso Charles was seemingly pleased with the selection, writing: "Great line-up! Happy to see Jenkinson again".
Upkar Kesar posted that Jenkinson was "immortal".
But Dwayne Opare is clearly not a fan, as he wrote: "I hope all this game time Jenkinson is getting is to make it easier to get him outta of the club come January."
