Ex-Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has NOT turned down Real Madrid as La Liga giants continue hunt for new manager
Wenger has been out of work since leaving Arsenal in May and was linked with replacing Gennaro Gattuso at AC Milan
ARSENE WENGER reveals he has not been contacted by Real Madrid about taking over at the Bernabeu.
The Spanish giants sacked Julen Lopetegui last month with reserve team coach Santiago Solari installed as interim boss.
Antonio Conte reportedly turned down the opportunity to take charge with Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino another potential target.
However, the ex-Arsenal boss rubbished claims he was in talks with the European champions and will make a decision on his next move in the new year.
The 69-year-old told beIN Sport: “I haven't made any decision on my future yet.
"Do I go straight away into management again or not?
“To be honest Real Madrid have not come back to me so I have not had to turn them down.
"I take every problem when I have to face it and try to find a solution. At the moment I do not have that problem.
“I will decide in January what I will do."
The experienced Frenchman has been out of work since leaving the Emirates in May and was linked with replacing Antero Henrique as Paris Saint-Germain sporting director.
Wenger also described reports of a reunion with former Gunners chief executive Ivan Gazidis at AC Milan at the expense of Gennaro Gauttuso as “fake news”.
