Former Man United winger Adnan Januzaj reveals the reason Jose Mourinho got rid of him
Winger made only 31 appearances for United in all competitions in five years at Old Trafford
ADNAN JANUZAJ has revealed the reason why Jose Mourinho shunted him out of Manchester United.
The winger completed a permanent move to Spanish side Real Sociedad in the summer of 2017 on a five-year deal for around £9million.
Once touted as the next big thing off the Old Trafford production line, Januzaj failed to live up to that potential.
After spells out on loan at Borussia Dortmund and Sunderland, the Belgian was shipped out permanently.
And the 23-year-old has revealed he didn't fit into boss Jose Mourinho's plans because he wasn't "a name".
Speaking to Januzaj said: "I didn't really get a chance because at the time he [Mourinho] probably wanted more experienced players with names
"I had to move on and now I am happy in Spain and making a difference."
And Januzaj insists he has the talents to prove his doubters wrong and make it at the very top.
He added: "I always knew I had the quality to play for Manchester United.
"I know what I am capable of.
