Manchester United transfer target Everton to consider move to Old Trafford from Gremio

The Brazilian will wait until the end of the season before making a decision on his future with the Imortal Tricolor

MANCHESTER UNITED target Everton Soares will make a decision regarding his future at Gremio at the end of the season.

The 22-year-old has been linked with a move to the Premier League, with Manchester City and United both noted with an interest.

Soares has scored 16 goals in the 2017-18 campaign and made his Brazil debut earlier this year in the friendly win over the United States.

But despite his steady improvement, the youngster is not ready to start thinking about a move abroad.

He told "We all hear the rumours at some point, right?

"I'm going through an exceptional phase, and we know how hard it is when clubs from England look at Brazilian players, for their quality.

"Let's see what happens at the end of the season, wait until it is over, and see what's best both for me and Gremio."

understand Soares has a release clause of £54million, but is valued at £30million by his club side.

He signed a new contract last August, keeping him at the club until 2022.

Gremio have three regular season games remaining this term and are currently fourth in Campeonato Brasileiro Serie A and on course to qualify for the group stage of the Copa Libertadores.

City and United are likely to be in the market for new players come the come the January transfer window but it remains to be seen whether they decide to firm up their interest in Everton.

The primarily left-sided wideman is among a clutch of talented young players who are set to play a key role in the Brazil national team in the years to come.

Following a disastrous World Cup, manager Tite promoted a number of new players into the squad to face USA and El Salvador, with the likes of goalkeeper Neto, midfielders Arthur and Andreas Pereira and striker Richarlison all making their debuts across the international double-header.

"The first phase will be about giving opportunities, that is the priority," Tite told the media regarding the throng of new call-ups. "Next year, it is about preparing for the Copa America."
