EGYPT boss Javier Aguirre has urged Mo Salah to quit Liverpool if Jurgen Klopp fails to deliver silverware this season.

The Reds superstar scored 44 goals in his debut campaign but suffered Champions League final heartbreak when he was forced off injured in the defeat to Real Madrid.

His record-breaking form then grabbed the attentions of Los Blancos who eyed his signature as a replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.

Liverpool are in the hunt for their first silverware since they lifted the League Cup in 2012.

And Aguirre believes Salah should plot an exit strategy to fulfil his ambition of winning major honours.

He said: "It may be better for him to leave within a season or two if Liverpool doesn't win any titles,"

Salah's eight goals this season have ensured the Reds remain unbeaten in the Premier League as they sit two points from rivals Man City.

But they remain in a dogfight to qualify from their Champions League group along with Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli.

A disappointing defeat against Red Star in their last outing leaves them in a precarious position with just two points separating the four teams.

Liverpool still have to play both PSG and Napoli knowing an early exit from the group could leave Europe's biggest clubs sniffing around for their best players.
