ALEXIS SANCHEZ’S scream after tearing his hamstring left Manchester United team-mates shellshocked.
The Chile forward, 29, suffered the horrific injury in training on Thursday and was left writhing in agony on the pitch at United’s Carrington HQ.
Pals were distressed at the anguish as he pulled up and immediately knew he had suffered a serious problem.
Sanchez is set for scans on his hamstring and has been ruled out for at least six weeks.
“From the painful scream and the way it happened, it will be a long time,” said boss Jose Mourinho.
Sanchez gave fans an indication of his injury with an Instagram photo he uploaded yesterday.
It showed his right leg being rested on a sofa and wrapped up in a recovery contraption.
Mourinho confirmed the extent of the injury today.
He said: "The first thing I can say is that in every club, when a player is not playing it is a simple manager’s decision.
"In our club when a player does not play it is always because of the player is not behaving and has disciplinary issues. Of course that is not the case again.

"He has an important injury, I don’t want to risk by saying for how long he will be out but from the top of my experience I would say he is not playing this year."
Sanchez was crocked in training yesterday and will miss a reunion with former club Arsenal, as well as the North West derby against Liverpool.
His well-documented struggles since arriving at Old Trafford from the Gunners last January have seen a winter exit touted.
Paris Saint-Germain could swoop when the window opens, while Arsenal have emerged as shock contenders with the bookies.
