MANCHESTER UNITED were mocked for uploading a photo saying there was "not a cellphone in sight" - because it appeared their were indeed fans on their phones.

The Red Devils tweeted a snap from last night's draw with Arsenal of Jesse Lingard celebrating his equaliser.

United captioned the tweet: "Not a cellphone in sight, just people living in the moment," suggesting that their supporters were not taking photos.

But on closer inspection, it appears that there are actually fans doing exactly that.

One man in a red scarf to the left of the corner flag looks to be taking a picture, as does the individual next to him.

A third person is holding some kind of electronic device with a light on towards the top-right of the picture.

Twitter user @Superfast37 lived up to his name by pointing out the flaws in the Red Devils tweet and said: "You forgot to crop the right side."

Fellow Tweeters @rachhbrad and @jackhoyland10 opted for Gifs while Cam Anderson also noticed the supporter next to the corner flag.

He replied with a cropped image zoomed-in on him and said: "nOt a cElLPhONe iN SiGhT."

Another user, @Madyudi, added a picture circling three apparent mobile phones.

He said: "Are u blind or what? I could see at least 3 phones there."

Meanwhile, @JakeDonaldson72 dug into the archives.

He found a picture from the Juventus game at Old Trafford in the Champions League earlier this season.

It shows at least ten people - most of the fans in the frame - taking a photo of Paulo Dybala as he prepares to take a corner.
