Have Celtic qualified for the Europa League knockout stages?

Brendan Rodgers side welcomed unbeaten Salzburg to Parkhead looking to avenge 3-1 defeat earlier in competition

CELTIC headed into their clash against Red Bull Salzburg, still needing to secure their place in the Europa League knockout stages.

The Austrian side had already qualified as group winners, after sweeping through with an unbeaten campaign prior to the Glasgow fixture.

Have Celtic qualified for the knockout stages?

Celtic only need a point against Salzburg to secure their place in the last 32 - while they could go through if RB Leipzig failed to beat Rosenborg, no matter their result.

The Austrian team did maintain their 100% winning record, beating the Bhoys 2-0 at Parkhead.

But their blushes were spared as Rosenborg equalised in the dying minutes against Leipzig to send the Scottish side through.

They will finish second in Group B and can face any of the following teams:

  • Zenit
  • Dinamo Zagreb
  • Arsenal
  • Eintracht Frankfurt
  • Dynamo Kiev
  • Napoli
  • Inter Milan
  • Valencia
  • Benfica
  • Bayer Leverkusen
  • Real Betis
  • Villarreal
  • Genk
  • Sevilla
  • Chelsea
