Manchester United face fight to keep Marcus Rashford as AC Milan eye deal after failing to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic

MANCHESTER UNITED star Marcus Rashford is reportedly wanted by AC Milan after the Italian giants failed to lure Zlatan Ibrahimovic back to the San Siro.

According to , the striker could be heading to Italy after the Sweden legend failed to agree terms on a stunning Serie A return.

It’s now said that Rashford has emerged as an option for Gennaro Gattuso, despite the youngster finally nailing down a place in Jose Mourinho’s Old Trafford XI.

Rashford has made 18 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals, but SunSport understands he has welcomed recent interest from Real Madrid.

He would also be a welcome addition to Milan’s attack, but Gattuso understands that prying him from the Theatre of Dreams will be difficult.

The report adds that Milan are also interested in Divock Origi.

But the Belgian has recently worked his way back into Jurgen Klopp’s good books and may not be allowed to leave Liverpool in January.

It means that Sampdoria’s Fabio Quagliarella is the most realistic target for Milan, with the Italian out of contract in June and said to be available on loan.

The San Siro giants have impressed in Serie A this season and find themselves sitting in fourth, one point ahead of Lazio.

But they are in the market for fresh faces and are particularly keen on landing Cesc Fabregas from Chelsea, with the Spaniard out of contract next summer and no longer a regular starter.
